Meet Hazel
Hazel is an experienced Therapist, offering talking therapy from our clinic in North Leeds.
I am here for you, so I won’t talk too much about myself, but my name is Hazel and I have been walking alongside people and supporting them in their mental health since 2004.
I hold a Bsc in Psychology, have worked on the front lines in the Leeds Crisis team, been a social worker, worked in community services and offered therapeutic support to university students for 10 years. I am also a mother, an activist, a yogi and a perfectly imperfect human.
These days, you’ll find me walking alongside people like you. People who are ready to move beyond their stuckness and their heaviness, to find freedom and live a full and joyful life. Because I believe that is our birthright.
“I believe people have the right to lead a full and joyful life and offer support to help find it”

What to expect
A safe space of tenderness, curiosity and compassion

With curiosity and compassion, we can meet discomfort with more ease and I believe that any discomfort can be a catalyst for growth. I work to support people to lean into the wisdom of their bodies and psyches with curiosity, tenderness and compassion.
I deliver integrated talking therapy, which means I draw from a wide range of influences including: attachment, trauma, nervous system and polyvagal theories, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, coaching, meditation and yoga.
How it works
Helping you to move forwards.

The approach I take will be designed to meet your unique needs. For example, it might be more structured, working from a menu of interventions, or it can flow freely.
We can decide together and I will be there to support you, within a safe space of deep listening, where you can explore and process your experience.
As we progress, we will look at how to move forward and find practical steps and actions. Any barriers and blocks that present themselves will help to guide us.
