Movement Matters is moving to new premises at The Old Surgery in Meanwood, from Tuesday 23rd September 2025. After this date, all treatments will take place at our new address.
The Old Surgery is an ethically-motivated, community-minded therapeutic space in the heart of Meanwood and we can't wait to be a part of it. The new address is as follows:

The Old Surgery, 4a Green Road, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4JP
How to get there
The Old Surgery is located at number 4a Green Road in Meanwood, opposite the pedestrian entrance to Waitrose supermarket.
If you’re standing outside Waitrose (with your back to it) and look across the road, you’ll face a pair of old semi detached houses. The right hand side of the property is Maria’s Cafe and The Old Surgery is in the old GP surgery to the left. There is a blue sign, tall black railings and a large Sycamore tree outside, with a bus stop to the left of it.
There are two gates in the black railings - the right hand gate takes you to a brown door on the front of the building for the upstairs treatment rooms.
Here you'll see a buzzer entry system. Ring the bottom buzzer marked Movement Matters and your therapist will let you in for your appointment. Our treatment room is up a flight of stairs.
Here's a photo of The Old Surgery and an orange marker to show the Movement Matters entrance door:

Parking
There are several car parks nearby in Meanwood and plenty of on-street parking.
The closest car park is to the rear of the shopping centre that’s on the same side of the road as The Old Surgery (access is off Church Avenue). Drive round as far as you can go and you’ll find a footpath through to Green Road which comes out to the side of The Old Surgery.
Alternatively (and recommended if you’ve a late evening appointment) you can park in one of the parking bays outside the front of the shopping centre. There are no parking restrictions in either location. You can also park in Waitrose car park for up to 2 hours.
Public Transport
The No. 51 bus will drop you off on Green Road. No. 52 will drop you off a little further up Stonegate Road.
